Genectrols: D-generation [Phase 5]“Do they, not fear loosing?” His head pounding, Night Canyon, let it be his name for now, nevertheless found himself uncomfortably in his unit, readying for action.
Once again, the usual routine. Fire, slash, dodge.
Then, without himself even realizing it, Night Canyon blacked out.
Erra, central planet, Palace.
"So why did you guys come Erra?"
"To carry a warning; and in part, to flee, I guess?" Leonda seemed nonchalent.
Jeriko was the one who ultimately brought them to the crucial idea. "The ruler of Yuva just died."
"What the! How?"
"We don't know, Kelar."
Yuva, long known as the lonely planet.
Despite having opened up significantly to the rest of the world since A.F. 938, much of the planet remains shrouded in mystery.
Before A.F. 938, Yuva existed as 5 Kingdoms.
A.F. 938, almost the entire royal family of the Indigo Kingdom died mysteriously. No one found out the cause.
The banished prince, Tequr, returned to claim the throne. It was he who united all 5 kingdoms under one nation. The former Kingdoms became provinces. The fate of their respective ruling families remained a story unknown.
That was the height of Yuva. Tequr initiated trade between Yuva and the other 9 planets.
Once it started to open up, it’s development soared in all aspects.
Somewhere near the end of A.F. 939, brother of Tequr, the only other survivor from the royal family, took to the throne.
Desmon, current, or rather, late king of Yuva.
In spite of Tequr’s doom being unannounced, one cannot deny Desmon’s talent at leadership.
Within one decade, Yuva closed in on Erra in terms of infrastructure.
“It’s a shame, that King Desmon has no heir. Now that he’d passed on, the whole planet was thrown into chaos. From our latest knowledge, it was a very distant cousin who took up the post.” Small wonder, for all the closer relatives are apparently non-existing.
“How did he die? Was there no will?”
“Yuva authorities claimed that it was a freak accident. Afterwards the planet closed its doors to the outside world. We could get no more information.”
“Aunt Leera and Uncle Conda feared that trouble was brewing. That was why we were sent here to warn you all.”
“Jeriko and I will be staying on Erra for awhile. Aunt Syvanna and Uncle Lanse know already. Afterwards we might need to set off for Isli and Gaia. Pending orders from Tahale.”
His cockpit was dark, unnaturally silent, as Night Canyon came to his senses.
A chilling soundlessness, one he is unaccustomed to.
Reality hit him. He is lost. Left behind in the endless vacuum known as space.
He is finally free. Yet despite so, he felt no joy.
Rather, filling his heart was fear. The energy level of his unit is running out. So is the oxygen level.
Does freedom truly spell his doom?
Elsewhere, Helluw Vena.
“Genectrols, the game has only begun.”
Iron hard words, enclosed in velvety tones.
